In the Autumn 2017 term, 7P and 7W worked on a spine-tingling Gothic module in a special collaboration between the Library and the English Department.

Pupils studied the building blocks of Gothic literature from setting and character through to writing style and key figures such as Edgar Allan Poe and Mary Shelley. The sessions culminated in the children writing their own Gothic story introduction and presenting a very special evening of storytelling on Tuesday 28th November in the Library.

What a wonderful opportunity for the children to read their work aloud and showcase the Gothic writing techniques they have developed!
